MAC AND CHEESE
WHO DOES NOT LOVE MAC AND CHEESE?
IT IS THE SIDE DISH OF THE SOUTH, THE MEAL YOU KNOW KIDS WILL EAT
THE PERFECT SIDE NO MATTER IF YOU ARE SERVING
TURKEY OR LOBSTER.
I think everyone in the south has been passed down a recipe for
mac and cheese.
This one is catching on fast, you dump it all in a slow cooker and that is that
You can use any kind of noodle some like the elbow, some the spiral, shell, ziti.
I have even made it with spaghetti noodles.
Also you can use any kind of cheese. Heck throw some cheddar with some
mozzarella. I even throw some Parmesan in it and on top.
IT IS CHEESE! YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG
Turn your slow cook on, high put a little milk in the bottom just to cover, this will
warm it up. Make sure you spray it with Pam or use a liner.
- Cook your pasta drain the amount you use depends on how many you have to feed, this is for a med box of noodles.
- 1 large can of evaporated milk
- 1 -1/2 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of sharp cheddar shredded cheese
- 1 cup of mild cheddar shredded cheese OR WHAT EVER KIND YOU WANT.
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 2 eggs beatened
- black pepper
Mix all ingredients together well in a large bowl.
Pour into the slow cooker, sprinkle with cheese and paprika.
( It makes it look pretty) You can also top with Ritz Crackers,,
Cook on LOW for 4 hours
You might have a little grease on the top, dab it up with a paper towel, this is from the cheese and butter.
